Self-awareness: emotional self-awareness

Social awareness: include empathy and organisational awareness.
Relationship management: include influence, coach and mentor, conflict management, teamwork, and inspirational leadership.
To excel, leaders need to develop a balance of strengths across the suite of EI competencies.
To assess EI, simplest way is to review the 12 competencies in your mind to roughly get an idea about which areas need some development, or taking tests like MSCEIT or ESCI 360 from Korn Ferry.
